Preschool Sign-ups


Friends and Neighbors,
It is that time of year again to sign up for preschool.  I am very excited for another year. I know that you have a child that is going to be coming up on preschool age and I wanted to let you know.  Please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible.

Here is a little more information:

Learning is supposed to be fun and it will be at Kricket's Kids Preschool.  I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.  I have taught preschool, elementary school, middle school, Spanish and dance classes.
Some of the instruction this fall will include:
  • Alphabet
  • Rhythm and Movement
  • Sign Language
  • Large and Fine motor skills
  • Fun and Educational Songs
  • Art Exploration
  • Imagination and Creativity
  • Sensory Development
  • Field Trips
  • School Pictures
  • Homework
  • and more!!
Class will begin in September.  There is limited space so please let me know as soon as you can.  Class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon.
Tuition will be $110 per month.  There will be a one time Registration/Supply Fee of $30.

Daily Schedule
9:00 – 9:10  Welcome
·    Parents have the opportunity to talk to the teacher.  Feel free to let me know of any special needs of your child for that particular day)
·        Help to get your child involved in an activity that they would enjoy before you head out the door.
9:10 – 9:45 Choice Time
·        Children will have a chance to choose from the activities that are out that day.  There will be five activities from five learning areas (Creative, Cognitive, Gross motor, Fine motor, and Dramatic Social). 
·        This is a chance for them to be self-directed and can choose from a variety of learning options.  They can choose to do one of the activities or multiple activities during this time.
9:45 – 9:50 Clean up
We will all work together to clean up the stations from choice time.
·     Children will learn to work together and that everyone can help.
9:50 – 10:10  Circle Time
·        Meeting together on carpet squares we learn through a formal group setting.
·        We will discuss weather, calendar, letters, and numbers. 
·        We learn new concept through movement, games, books, songs, and discussion.
·        Show and Tell time – Kids can share something from home that starts with  our letter of the week. (Thursdays)
10:10 – 10:30  Snack Time
·        This is a great opportunity to practice good hygiene and manners.
·        We will wash hands before snack.
·        We will practice using our good table manners as we eat our snack together.
·        This is when we will have a chance to see, touch, and taste different foods that may be new.
10:30 – 10:45  Outside Time
·        This is another good opportunity for the kids to have self-directed playtime.
·        We will be going outside almost every day so kids need to be dressed appropriately.
·        On really rainy days we will find special inside activities to do during this time.
10:45 – 11:45  Centers
·        During Centers we will work on new concepts and have lots of opportunities to try new things.
·        We will rotate through 2 or 3 new projects.  Kids will bring home 2 to 3 projects every day.
·        Each student will work at the speed in which the feel the most comfortable.
11:45 -12:00 Closing Circle
·        This is when we will have a wrap up of the end of the day with songs, activities and books.
·        We will go over some of the things that we did and learned during the day.
·        Parents are welcome to join us during this time (and anytime really) to see us in action!
