January 2015 Week #4

This week started off really rough because Mom was sick.  It was yucky and hard to keep the house going with out a fully functioning mom.  When Dad came home from work on Monday Mom felt so bad that she went to bed after dinner.  Dad decided that this was a ice cream kind of FHE night and took you all to Dairy Queen for treats.
Wednesday was finally better and we were back to a normal life with Everyone feeling a lot better.  After school is definitely a gathering time.  We all hang out at the table for snacks, talking and the beginnings of homework.  We started taking turns picking out snacks from our list of snacks for the week.  You kids seem to be enjoying that.

Thursday morning really early we had to be at the hospital.  Ryder and Trey were having there urethro meatoplasty.  This was a surgery to make the hole a little bigger so that the pressure on the bladder is lessened.  The hospital took such good care of the boys.  They had so much fun being there together.  Ryder and Trey are great friends.  I keep reminded them that they are each others Best Friends, because Barnums are Best Friends.  (They don't always get along THAT great but we are working on it.)  They got these huge teddy bears, popsicles, and movies.  They were in heaven.  They even got to ride out on the wheel chair.  Trey of course thought we should be able to take those home too!

Friday morning Mom usually volunteer in the school.  She trade babysitting with another mom so that she can go into the classroom and help.  It is always so nice to see this part of the kids lives.  This week she couldn't though because the other Mom had sick kids.  It worked out okay though because Mom got to go with Trey on his field trip to the library.  He loves Wee Wisdom Preschool.  He had a best buddy named Cody and it was fun to capture a few pictures of them together.

Saturday we helped clean the church and then help someone move.  When we help clean the church we almost always stop for donuts afterwards.  It is fun to have that to look forward to and we think that helps everyone have a good attitude about the service too.  Jenna and Mom got to sneak over to Ceramic Cafe to use up the rest of Jenna's gift certificate from last birthday.  It was fun to have some time with just Jenna.

Westie is such a boy.  Check out this funny picture that Dad got.  He has a dinosaur with a duplo lego guy in his mouth.

We have been having beautiful sunrises in the morning.  We love seeing this view out our back windows and out on the deck.  Our Heavenly Father can make some amazing beautiful things!

Another fun week!
