It was an amazing week. You had a lot of days off of school between President's Day and Parent Teacher Conferences you where home all but 2 days this week. That left us lots of days to play! Plus the weather was so awesome this week that we spent as much time outside as we could.
Monday, we made a fort in the back yard with all of the branches that Dad cut off of the trees.
We also got in a really good hike with the Kojima family on Monday afternoon.
While you kids did go to school, Trey, Weston and Mommy did some park hopping.
On Thursday, we went on an adventure over on the other side of Beaverton. We hit a fun trail, some different parks and even met up with Dad for a picnic lunch. You kids are so fun. You each picked the kind of wheels you wanted to use. People are always amazed that you all rock different modes of transportation.
Fun at the park!
Picnic with Dad.
On Saturday, we decided that we needed a trip to the beach! It was AMAZING. The sun was shining and the weather was awesome.
We explored and hiked around a bit.
We found the perfect spot to go play on the beach. It was not very windy and there were hundreds of sand dollars. I think we got every one of them.
The rocks from Goonies.
We then went on a longer hike down the Cape and it was gorgeous. I would have to say that one of my favorite places is on a hiking trail with my family. It is fun to see everyone take turns hiking with different people, holding hands, visiting. I LOVE IT! You kids don't always get along all the time but when we get outside and hike it seems that everything just goes so much better.
We also took a little time and visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It was fun and delicious and a wonderful end to a fabulous day.
Weston was really tired. We had dinner but then it was off to bed. He had to sleep with this giant car. He is so funny. It was quite the week. It will be hard to send you all back to school on Monday because we really got to enjoy this week and with all the great weather we were spoiled and got a taste of summer.
