March 2015 Week #3

Dear kids,
This was a really busy week full of family and fun.

Since Dad was gone all last weekend he got to take Monday off.  It was nice to have him home and do a little catch up from the weekend.  Our weather has been so beautiful lately and it really isn't even official spring yet.  About noon we decided that we needed to get out on this gorgeous day and fit in a family hike for Family Home Evening.  Since you big kids had school we left as soon as we could once you got home.  We found a trail in forest park that we thought we would enjoy.  It was so beautiful and we really enjoy being outside together on a hiking trail.

Weston even got down and hiked a little.  He fees like such a big boy when he gets to do this.
Trey loves to be outdoors. Since it was St. Patrick's Day we decided that we could keep a look out for leprechaun houses.  We spotted quite a few and Trey was quick to find them.
It is sometime hard to capture in pictures what you see in your mind of who your kids are.  This picture of Trey is really who he is.  This is his real sweet face.  The smile is normal and the eyes are sincere.  I really like this picture of him.

On Tuesday morning we went with some friends and  joined up with a Hike a Baby group for a toddler lead hike.  It was fun.  Trey and his friend Mylie would run and wait and run and walk back to us.  I am sure they went 2 miles when the rest of us walked 1 mile.

On Tuesday afternoon we had a special treat.  Aunt Cindy came for a visit.  She came to spend the week with Kylea and stopped by for the evening to hang out with us.  It is always so great to have her here.  We feel blessed to have her come.  We miss Grannie and feel like when Aunt Cindy comes to visit we get a piece of our Grannie.  We love that she comes and spends time with us and are excited that with Kylea around we will get to see her even more.

On Wednesday, the Adair family came for a little fun.  Bethany and John went to Vegas and left their 3 little guys with us for 4 days.  It was a lot of work and crazy with 8 kids (7 being boys) in the house but you kids had a great time together.

Spencer and Weston on the balance bikes.

 Lots of Lego time

Family Dance Party before we played some Wii.  All of you kids were so fun and so good.

Spencer and Weston were by far the hardest.  They haven't learned how to play with each other yet.  There was lots of hitting and pushing, stealing toys and crying.  It was pretty funny.  We just tried to keep them separated the best we could.  I would put Weston up on the counter because he would just sit there and hang out with me while Spencer would walk around the house.  Or, I would put Spencer in the high chair because he was content to eat most of the day.  One night while Garrett was home and I wanted him to help me make dinner so we could be together but we didn't want the boys to fight we decided to contain them both like this...
After a while we tried this too.

 Both worked for a while.

Over all it was a fun and busy week.  Here are a couple pictures that I wanted to share

Ryder got his much anticipated date with Dad to sushi.  He was excited to try it and enjoy it and time with his Dad!

Weston loves "smiling" with his tongue out.
Ryder and his cute unique style.

I found this cute picture of Trey that Ms. Boyd took at preschool and I loved it!
