Dear Kids,
We started this year off with a bang. We still had family in town so we gathered everyone up and headed out on a hike. We love to hike together and it was really fun to do it with a big group. We went hiking in Washington Park Arboretum near the Zoo.
The Crazy team that lead the pack.
Here is the whole group, minus Uncle John who was home sick.
That evening we had even more of Dad's family come over. We had a yummy dinner and played some great games. Tenzi was a favorite this year. After that we bundled everyone up for some Zoo lights. It was really cold but we still had a great time.
We think it is so funny how much a like these brother look.
It was so wonderful to be together with family to ring in the New Year.
The next morning we started it off with our service project of cleaning the church building. We even had some extras join us this year.
We have also wanted to do a better job of getting you kids over to the temple. You all have been asking to go inside to see the atrium and we made it happen and hope to get you there every month this year. We live so close to the temple and want you to have a love of the temple now and forever.
We woke up on Sunday morning to a beautiful surprise of snow on the ground. They sent as home after sacrament so we did some Sunday Stations and then some of us ventured out into the snow for our Sunday Family walk.
We also went over to have dinner at Grandma B's house. Brian and April were still around so we got to see them a little more too. You kids made snowmen in the backyard and loved it. Here is a silly picture of me sporting my Oregonian look.
I am really enjoying the Young Women in the Ward. It has been about a year since I was made president of the Young Women's. These are some wonderful young ladies. I have worked with some amazing ladies in the presidencies as well.
Here are a couple pictures of you kids just doing what you do. Playing on the trampoline even though it is cold, and another one of the little guys making up a game in the bath tub. Silly kids.
We try to get everyone to take a turn helping with dinner. Weston helped make the meatballs this night. After that was FHE and this picture was of charades. I think Weston was acting out some animal.
Creative Date - Researching what we want in the Kitchen Nook area.
Weston's Date - The MAXX Train
Trey's Date - McDonald's
Dad took all of you big kids out to see the new Star Wars movie. You loved it!
Love ya mean it!
